About

Will Adlard (AKA The Cottonwood Shivers) is an English-American musician and songwriter. Will records and produces all his music himself, in his attic studio affectionately named “Loud Moon.” The songs tend towards the delicate, often with fingerpicked guitar parts and tender lyrics. However, they are not without a glimmer of lightheartedness, of joy even.

It’s that joy which Will is exploring in his newest collection of songs. A confusing joy; an innocent and experienced joy; a joy in whose house even sadness has its seat.

Will was born and raised in London, England, and now resides in St Paul, Minnesota with his wife and their three sweet cats. From 2007-2011 Will fronted the band Patch William, whose song “The Last Bus” was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award for Best Song Musically and Lyrically in 2009.
